InBody Scan Checklist
The protocol For the Most Accurate InBody Scan at Gymies Fitness Center
We strictly follow the protocol from InBody to ensure the most accurate and consistent scans.

Morning is the best time to scan - the earlier the better
-
No drink (water or any drink) 3 hours prior scan

No food 3 hours prior scan
-
No exercise 3 hours prior scan (brisk walking will skew scan)
-
No alcohol 24 hours prior to scan (we recommend 72 hours)
-
Prior 24 hours everything normal - food, hydration, caffeine, etc.

No lotion on hands or feet day of scan
-
Use the restroom immediately prior to scan - be empty
-
Hands and feet need to be normal temperature

Wear as light of clothing as possible during scan

Remove watches, jewelry, phone, and keys from pockets
-
Stand at least 5 minutes prior to scan (15 minutes is preferable)

Ladies - do not scan during your menstrual cycle

With provided wipe, wipe palms and soles immediately prior to scan
-
No pacemaker - very important
