InBody Scan Checklist

The protocol For the Most Accurate InBody Scan at Gymies Fitness Center

We strictly follow the protocol from InBody to ensure the most accurate and consistent scans.

  • Morning is the best time to scan - the earlier the better

  • No drink (water or any drink) 3 hours prior scan

  • No food 3 hours prior scan

  • No exercise 3 hours prior scan (brisk walking will skew scan)

  • No alcohol 24 hours prior to scan (we recommend 72 hours)

  • Prior 24 hours everything normal - food, hydration, caffeine, etc.

  • No lotion on hands or feet day of scan

  • Use the restroom immediately prior to scan - be empty

  • Hands and feet need to be normal temperature

  • Wear as light of clothing as possible during scan

  • Remove watches, jewelry, phone, and keys from pockets

  • Stand at least 5 minutes prior to scan (15 minutes is preferable)

  • Ladies - do not scan during your menstrual cycle

  • With provided wipe, wipe palms and soles immediately prior to scan

  • No pacemaker - very important

Strictly following InBody's protocol will give you the most accurate and consistent scans possible.
